iPhone is in Trademark trouble?

Cisco systems has got the trademark on "iPhone" and probably they are ready to take Apple to the court. Apple didn't realize that or purposely they kept this name for their new true blue offering. Why didn't they named it " iCell" sounds killing than "iPhone" and matches to a short name like "iPod" . Any comment on this?
